Corrugated cardboard, what is it?
Corrugated cardboard is a material consisting of a fluted corrugated. It is made on “corrugators” and is used for making cardboard boxes. The production cycle starts with a production line for paper rolls, glue, and corrugated board.
Double-ply corrugated cardboard
Such cardboard consists of one flat and one layer of corrugated cardboard performing a protective function. Double-ply corrugated board is commonly used for efficient packaging and transportation of large and fragile materials. With this type of cardboard, we effectively protect them from any mechanical damage.
Three-ply corrugated cardboard
This type of cardboard is produced using two flat and one layer of corrugated cardboard. The thickness of the three-layer corrugated board can vary between 1.5 and 4 mm. Depending on the height of the profile, the three-ply corrugated board may be marked with the letters “E”, “B” and “C”.
Five-ply of corrugated cardboard
This type of cardboard consists of three sheets and two layers of corrugated cardboard. The thickness of the layers is 5-7 mm. Depending on the heights of the corrugated layers profiles, “BE” and “BC” are marked. Five-ply corrugated cardboard is indispensable for packaging and transportation of bulky and heavy products and protects against destructive mechanical impact.
